Beserah is an old-fashioned fishing village located about 8 kilometers north of Kuantan. The quaint little village has its very own charm and romance, where traditional boats are still used. It is a village that is famous for fresh fishes every day! You can buy fresh fishes at wholesale prices here.

A thriving fishing village, Beserah is well-known for its quality dried fish and other salted sea products. Visitors can buy salted fishes from here. You can also watch the process of belacan, keropok lekor & keropok leper making. There are many food stalls in the village. Visitors should try their famous Mee Chalong here. There is a batik factory in Beserah and a few handicraft centers, which sell souvenirs and decorative items made from seashells by the women. For swimming and seashells picking activities, you can visit Pantai Pelindung.

Pantai Beserah Fishing Village

Our friend took us out to the Pantai Beserah Fishing Village for a look around. Pantai Beserah Fishing Village is located around 7-8km north from Kuantan town along Jalan Beserah. It is just after SJK(C) Kong Min. We entered one shop which used a type of shipping container as a large fridge where more fish were being kept. It was cold as we went inside. I told the woman at the door “Don’t lock us in!” but I’m not sure if she understood! After briefly looking around the Pantai Beserah Fishing Village we went to East Coast Mall.

One of the best beaches in Kuantan Pahang

Kami medapat tahu terdapat 12 kubu lama British yang dibina pada zaman Perang Dunia Kedua di Kuantan Pahang. Lokasi Kubu terletak sepanjang pantai dari Teluk Cempedak, Pantai Pelindung, Beserah sehingga ke Balok. Ada yang masih tegak, ada yang sudah senget dan ada yang sudah tenggelam ke dalam air dan ada yang dah tenggelam dalam pasir.

Ikuti perjalanan kami:

1. Kubu 1 – Kubu Nelayan Balok: Kami bermula dari Pusat Nelayan Balok. Kubu telah tenggelam dalam air. Hanya nampak bumbung.
2. Kubu 2 – Kubu Tepi Selekoh: Terdapat grafitti bertulis ‘Kodin’.
3. Kubu 3 – Kubu Nemo: Dalam Camp Site Nemo.
4. Kubu 4 – Kubu Swiss Garden: Lokasi diantara 2 Swiss Garden iaitu Swiss Garden Resort dan Swiss Garden Residence.
5. Kubu 5 – Kubu Timurbay: Tidak jauh dari Timurbay Residence. Lokasi di Muara Sg Karang merupakan tempat popular untuk aktiviti bergambar dan selfie.
6. Kubu 6 – Kubu Tepi Kubur: Drone MayaQhu mengalami kemalangan pertama dan saat-saat mencemaskan.
7. Kubu 7 – Kubu Bawah Pagar: Berada dalam tanah individu? Terdapat pagar batu diatasnya.
8. Kubu 8 – ”Kubu Yang Hilang”: Tidak jauh dari Bandar Lama Beserah. Lokasi Muara Sg Beserah. Sudah terbenam sepenuhnya di dalam pasir.
9. Kubu 9 – Kubu Mee Calong Beserah: Di Pantai Pelindung. Terdapat beberapa warung Mee Calong sedap disini. Krew berhenti makan Mee Calong.
10. Kubu 10 – ”Kubu Ghaib”: Kubu ini jelas kelihatan dalam gambar 2010. Lokasi di kawasan Tasik Pelindung dan kini telah hilang sepenuhya. Adakah sesiapa tahu dimana kubu ini berada sekarang?
11. Kubu 11 – Kubu TC3 (Teluk Cempedak 3): Lokasi di Pantai Teluk Cempedak yang ke 3. Perlu melalui denai didalam hutan dimana perjalanan mencarinya sangat menyeronokkan sambil melihat pemandangan laut sangat cantik.
12. Kubu 12 – Kubu Teluk Cempedak: Lokasi di pantai popular Teluk Cempedak Kuantan. Disini terdapat McDonalds, KFC, Starbuck dan Subway dan tidak jauh dari Hotel Hyatt Regency.
