Restoran 5 Utara Alor Setar “Reviewed 21 August 2019 “Satisfying”

We are from KL. Recommended by a group of youngsters who were working in a heritage cafe in Alor Setar when my family and I were having my coffee there. We had fish (red snapper), squid, otak-otak and omelets with petai leaf. Portion is reasonably big. Quality is really good, very authentic, I will rate 9/10. Price is reasonable too, 5 pax, 4 dishes, plus some drinks, RM150. ~Date of visit: August 2019~

First time recommended by a friend. The food here was fantastic and the price is very reasonable… you will be surprised with it! I supposed this is a family run business. Though it is not a halal restaurant, it does not serve any pork or lard. I did saw Muslim eating in the restaurant during my visit here. No other comment, just simply perfect! Highly recommended. ~Date of visit: November 2018~

A Thai restaurant branch opened in my hometown Alor Star serving great variety of Thai food and saved us the need to travel all the way to Jitra (35 mins drive from Alor Star) to have dinner in its main restaurant. We have tried its chicken, sweet sour salad, shrimps, fried eggs are vegetables are nicely done. Some friends said the main restaurant in Jitra is serving better dishes, but considering the journey it may take, we preferred to dine in at the branch here. Good food, fast serving, reasonable price and nice ambience. ~Date of visit: September 2018~
