Located on the fringe of Ipoh Padang is a row of pre-war townhouses that were used as legal offices and professional firms. One of them, number 7, was the residence cum-office of the Seenivasagam Brothers. The Seenivasagam Brothers, who championed the rights of the common folk, founded the Perak Progressive Party (PPP) in 1953.

Ipoh Cultural Parade 2017

On July 23, 2017, the first ever Ipoh Cultural Parade was held in conjuction with Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (PCCCI) 110th Anniversary and Visit Perak Year 2017.

With total of 2296 participants, the parade achieved the Malaysia's Book of Records as the largest cultural parade in Malaysia.

There are 53 teams representing costumes, dances, heritage, music, martial art, and other traditional practices of our multi ethnic community as well as some of our more well known home grown commercial brands.
